Newly signed Kaizer Chiefs defender Luke Fleurs has sadly passed away after being shot during a hijacking on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old joined Amakhosi in October after leaving SuperSport United and despite not making his debut yet, was still considered one of the brightest defensive prospects in South African football.
iDiski Times then reported on Wednesday evening that the former Ubuntu Academy development product passed on today after being shot during a hijacking.
Fleurs had racked up 70 appearances for the Matsatsantsa, scoring twice, after joining the club from Ubuntu FC in July 2018.
