Heartless killers, who set Ncamisile Zuma alight at the entrance of her home, should never find peace.
These are the words of 29-year-old Ncamisile’s family from Sweetwaters, Pietermaritzburg, after her burning body was discovered outside their home on Monday, 31 March.
Ncamisilel had attended a traditional ceremony at a neighbour’s house before the tragic incident.
No one knows what happened or who could have committed such a horrific deed.
Ncamisile’s brother Siphesihle Mhlongo shared details of her final moments with Daily Sun.

He said Ncamisile attended the ceremony on Sunday, 30 March, and returned home intoxicated later that day.
“She came back drunk, as usual, and went to take a nap. Around 11pm, she woke up and left the house without a word to the children with whom she sleeps in her room,” said Siphesihle.
The following morning, Siphesihle was woken up by a resident who was on their way to work. They informed him that someone was on fire at their gate.
“I rushed to see, and realised it was Ncamisile. At the time, she was still burning. I recognised her clothes and her leg,” recalled Siphesihle.
When they managed to extinguish the fire, it was already late. Ncamisile had already passed away.
“We are still in shock and have no idea who could have done this. It’s heartbreaking. We are struggling to come to terms with what has happened.”
Siphesihle described Ncamisile as an outgoing person who got along well with others and did not have any known enemies.
“At this stage, we are confused and devastated by this tragic incident. We pray police find the suspect so they can explain why they did this to her.
“I hope they don’t find peace until they are arrested for this gruesome act,” said Siphesihle.
KZN police spokeswoman Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo confirmed that Plessislaer police opened a murder case after a 29-year-old woman was allegedly found burnt to death by an unknown suspect at Sweetwaters.
“The victim was found lying on the road with burnt wounds on her abdomen and lower body. The motive of the killing is unknown,” said Ngcobo.
Ncamisile leaves behind a four-year-old daughter.
