Velile Makhoba who played the role of Gugu in the award-winning TV show Gomora bid farewell to the show after her character came to an end.
Taking to her Instagram page she announced her exit and while being grateful she said Gomora has paved a golden road for her and sharpened her gift.
“My heart is full of gratitude because you guys as a production team made my god dream a reality.
“Thank you for seeing potential that you believed was fit to work with, the whole team has been wonderful and kind to my soul, from the producers of the show down to my core workers, you made me feel at home and like I belong…” she wrote.

Velile Makhoba was born in 2001, she is a 22-year-old.
She was born in Mayville, Durban in KwaZulu Natal Province in South Africa.
Education And Career
Makhoba attended Cato Crest Primary school. That is where she was taught Zulu dance and umshado after falling in love with dancing.
She then attended Mayville Secondary School where she was inspired by the Umoja production.
She decided to pursue arts at the tertiary level after she and her colleagues travelled the world performing under Umoja production.
In 2019 she started dance lessons at the KwaMashu Art Centre. She also enrolled at the Phakama Dance Academy.
In 2019, Velile joined a dance group called Izintuthwane.
As a dancer, she performed in various countries including India, Germany, and Italy to name a few.
In 2022 she made her debut appearance as Gugulethu who is also known as Gugu in Mzansi Magic drama series Gomora.
In April 2022 she made a debut appearance on the etv series The Black Door.
