The move will make it three out of 16 Premier Soccer League sides to have women’s teams
including Mamelodi Sundowns and Royal AM.
Mkhize confirmed that the Mpumalanga-based outfit resorted to buying the status of a side to be announced along with the details of the sale later today.
“I can confirm that next season we will be plying our trade in the Hollywoodbets Super League. As you know that our previous two pursuits to gain automatic promotion, proved futile at the national playoffs.
So we were left with no choice but to make other means of making sure that we secure the status in the elite league of South African football,” he said.

“We consider ourselves to be as a global brand and if you see big clubs across the globe the likes of Barcelona, the likes of Manchester, PSG, they all have women teams campaigning in elite leagues.
“So we thought let’s make sure we are also on par with those clubs. We bought a status and we will be releasing a statement with detailed information but I can confirm that yes we did buy a status.”
