Out-of-favour Ghana striker Kwame Peprah is set to finally seal a loan move to Maritzburg United for the rest of the season in search of regular playing time after battling to make an impact.

Peprah has made just six appearances this term with no goals to his name having fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Kermit Erasmus and Bienvenu Eva Nga.

The 22-year-old’s situation has worsened with the return of Ndumiso Mabena and the availability of Evidence Makgopa after an injury disturbed start to the season.

Zakhele Lepasa has played ahead of him despite battling for goals.

Kwame Peprah had offers to leave at the beginning of the season but none of the deals materialized and has now found himself with a mere 109 minutes to his name this term.

Instead of improving on his first season output of nine goals in 38 appearances, he has become a mere shadow at Pirates.

As reported by KickOff Magazine, It is for this reason that he will now be heading out to fellow DStv Premiership side Maritzburg United on loan for the rest of the season in a deal that has been cooking since the beginning of the year.

An agreement was reached on Tuesday paving the way for Peprah to move.

At the Team of Choice, he will reunite with Fadlu Davids who coached him at Pirates last season.

With Davids as a co-coach at Pirates in Peprah’s first season in the PSL he was a regular.
