Three people have been arrested in connection with the murders of 18 people in Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape, Police Minister Senzo Mchunu confirmed on Sunday.

Mchunu made the announcement during a memorial service for the 18 victims, who were shot and killed in Ngobozana Village, Lusikisiki, on 28 September.
The arrests come after police had taken one person in for questioning.

Mchunu added that the arrest of a fourth person would be announced soon, as police already know the name and surname of the suspect.
