The premier of KZN wants justice for the family of seven killed on Wednesday, 11 September.
Premier Thami Ntuli, who also heads the Community Safety office, has instructed the police to leave no stone unturned in finding the killers.
It’s alleged around dinner time on Wednesday, 11 September, seven family members were shot and killed, including three kids. The youngest being a four-year-old.
The incident happened in Highflats, KZN. The deceased were found dead on the couch, all with bullet wounds to their heads.
Ntuli has called on the police to thoroughly investigate the brutal, barbaric killing.
“I’m deeply concerned over these brutal acts of violence and call for an end to such in the province,” he said.
Ntuli has instructed KZN Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi to deploy every available resource to apprehend perpetrators and ensure atrocities like this are dealt with promptly and effectively.
“We remain dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens in KZN. We wish to pass our message of condolences to those affected by this tragic incident,” said Ntuli.
Provincial Police spokesman Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed that kids are among the victims.
Ntuli visited the scene and Highflats residents after this tragedy.
