Cristiano Ronaldo had a slip of tongue when mistaking South Africa for Saudi Arabia during his official unveiling at Al Nassr.
The Portuguese superstar was unveiled by his new club on Tuesday evening, when he first met local journalists before being presented to his new club’s fans at a packed Mrsool Park Stadium.

Ronaldo was also asked if he had a message for people who criticise his move to Asia and insisted he doesn’t care about what others think of his move – but he had a little blunder during his response when he mention Mzansi instead of Saudi Arabia.
“Many people speak and give their opinion but they really don’t know nothing about football,” he said.
“As you know football now, probably in the last 10-15 years is different. All the teams are more prepared, they are ready.

“If you give the example of the World Cup, the only that beat the champions was Saudi Arabia, don’t forget that and you had many surprises, South Korea for example, the African teams, Costa Rica they did a good job.
“It’s not easy to win games today, because the teams are prepared. The football is different, the evolution of football is different.

“For me it’s not the end of my career to come to South Africa.
“This is why I change and to be honest I really don’t worry what the people say. I took my decision and I have responsibility to change that. But I’m really, really happy to be here.”
