On Wednesday afternoon, IPSS Medical Rescue, together with IPSS S&R and IPSS S&R Tongaat, responded to a single vehicle accident on the link road between the N2 and R102, Shakaskraal.
The vehicle left the road, falling approximately 50m onto the train tracks below, leaving one occupant deceased.

A further 6 occupants of the vehicle suffered serious injuries, and were stabilised on scene by Paramedics.
4 patients were transported under the care of IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support paramedics to various facilities for further care.
According to bystanders, the driver of the vehicle left scene, this remains unconfirmed and will be investigated further.
