Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane believes Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana has fitted in like a glove at the club while also outlining the striking qualities the Burundian brings to the Soweto giants.
According to FarPost, Bimenyimana opened his goal-scoring account for Chiefs with a brace to seal a 2-1 DStv Premiership victory against SuperSport United at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Chiefs conceded an early goal against SuperSport thanks to a 16th-minute strike by on-loan midfielder Grant Margeman.
The Burundian international levelled matters for Amakhosi late in the first half before scoring a penalty in the 54th when Yusuf Maart was brought down in the 18-area.
The 24-year-old attacker joined the Soweto giants a few weeks into the 2022/23 season, and Zwane has now explained the different qualities brought by the talisman.
“Caleb [Bimenyimana] is giving us a different dimension,” Zwane told the media.
“You know we have lot of nippy players who are very good on 1v1 and also who are not tall on the ball but very mobile.
“So Caleb is stronger on the ball, he’s very quick and explosive to attack the near post so we got that type of a striker.
“That’s why we had to take our time in terms of bringing in someone so that when he come in we complement him.
“Because it’s pointless to bring in a player who is not fitting into the system or the way we want to play, and we obviously had to profile him properly.
“And when we bring him in, we sure that he’s gonna help us improve our game,” added Zwane
Prior to winning against Matsatsantsa, Chiefs have had a winless run in the league; with their last victory coming against Richards Bay on the 20th of August.
The Glamour Boys had an inconsistent start to the new campaign which saw them win only three games, drawing two and losing in three occasions.
Chiefs are lying in 11th place on the log standings.
