Mozambican professional footballer Edmilson Dove who represents both the Mozambique national team and Kaizer Chiefs.
He usually plays as a defender but has also made appearances in the midfield.
Dove, who is from the Gaza Province’s Tavene, played for a number of youth teams before joining Ferroviario de Maputo in 2013.
During the 2015 season, when he made his first appearance with the first team, he captured the league championship.
Dove came to Lisbon in May 2016 to take part in a trial with the Portuguese team Sporting CP.
After losing their starting left-back, Aubrey Modiba, in January 2017, Cape Town City of the South African Premier Division signed him to add defensive depth.
They became interested in Dove during a match between South Africa and Mozambique in November of last year.
Dove made his debut for Mozambique against Malawi in the quarterfinals of the 2015 COSAFA Cup after initially being called up to the national team. Edmilson Dove played the entire 90 minutes in the championship match against Namibia for his team, which ended as the tournament’s runners-up.
