The body of a man who was shot was discovered several metres down an embankment in Buffelsdraai – KZN this morning (Saturday).
A member of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was on patrol in the area at approximately 07:19 when he was flagged down by a pedestrian.

The individual informed the Reaction Officer that they discovered the body of a male down an embankment.
The Reaction Officer was led to the location and discovered the lifeless body.
RUSA Paramedics were called to the scene and declared the man deceased.
He sustained gunshot wounds to both his thighs. A trail of blood was located from the scene to the road approximately 100 meters away.
The public informed Reaction Officers that the deceased was known. He was employed at a construction company and resided in the area.

He was seen consuming alcohol with a friend last night. The deceased’s cellphone was recovered in his possession.
The motive for the murder has not been established.
