Popular Traditional healer and reality TV star Dr Khehlelezi says his strong muthi helped get his speeding case withdrawn at Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court.
This comes after a speeding charge was withdrawn, and he praises his strong muthi for playing a big part.

Dr Khehlelezi, whose real name is Bhongolwethu Mzozo (36) from Verulam, north of Durban, was nabbed on the N2 in Park Rynie, south of KZN, on Tuesday, 3 March.

He was caught speeding at 171km/h in a 120km/h zone. He was released on bail the same day.
Dr Khehlelezi, who is also an MK party member, said it would have been a huge embarrassment to tell his clients he has strong muthi to win court cases, but the same muthi couldn’t help him win his own.
He was set to appear in the Scottburgh Magistrates Court on the KZN south coast on Tuesday, 10 March, but the case was withdrawn.
He thanked the police who were in court for arresting him.
He claimed the reason he was speeding was because he was being followed by hitmen.
On Tuesday, 10 March, he arrived flanked by three bodyguards and his attorney, Vusi Khathi, ready to take the stand and tell his side of the story.
However, his case never reached the dock.

The prosecutor released him before the magistrate even entered the courtroom.
Khehlelezi was arrested for allegedly doing 171km/h but claimed he was fleeing hitmen.
Khehlelezi said this was the power of his strong muthi, and he claimed he knew the court would not resist it.
He was supported in court by traditional healers and MK party members.
Khehlelezi, who was featured in Thinah Zungu’s reality show, Thinah Singo Zungu on Mzansi Magic, told Daily Sun he used his strong muthi for two days before appearing in court.
“This case was supposed to end because it was going to embarrass traditional healers. How can a traditional healer be at court and lose the case while telling people that he has muthi to win court cases?
“This is an example. I arrived here and they told me there is no case and released me. I brought a good lawyer, Vusi Khathi, to add to my muthi. I was released because the prosecutor said the case lacked evidence and the police were exaggerating.”
He said he wanted to send a message to the police not to enforce the law based on their feelings, but to listen to motorists.
“As public figures, we comply with the law, but when I tell the police that I’m under pressure and my life is in danger, they don’t listen to me.
“What I like about South African justice is that they hear both sides, and the court just realised that some steps were not followed by the police, who arrested me based on their feelings.”

Khehlelezi’s attorney, Vusi Khathi, told Daily Sun the case was withdrawn due to lack of evidence.
Daily Sun approached the prosecutor to find out what happened, she said she’s not allowed to speak to the media.
