Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has assured fans the Soweto giants will be back to their best following a shaky start to the season.
The AmaKhosi suffered a 4-0 mauling at the hands of DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday afternoon.
The Soweto giants head coach insists his side are still a work in progress but believes they will get it right.
“Look, it’s a work in progress. We all know it’s a work in progress, but we’ll get it right.
I have no doubt,” Zwane told SuperSport after the game.
“We will definitely get it right and we will also be back and dominate like we used to dominate in the past because right now we are playing in patches. We are trying to get the combinations right, but we will get it right.
“And obviously thanks to the fans for their support. They stayed throughout, even though it was difficult. I know how they feel right now. But one day they will smile.”
Zwane added that the game might have been different if Reeve Frosler had converted his big chance at the start of the second half.
“I think if Frosler converted that one, it was going to be 2-1.
Maybe, it was going to be a different ball game altogether after that because now you could see now they are absorbing the pressure.
“But we missed that one and from there a penalty, maybe it was going to be 3-2 and then the game was open again.
So, we just did not come to the party, we won’t ourselves. I think credit to Sundowns technical staff.
Credit to their team, they have got a quality team,” Zwane added.
