Kaizer Chiefs Football Club coach Arthur Zwane has offered what is a slight possibility that includes caution.

The Glamour Boys traveled to Johannesburg this week after losing 2-0 to Cape Town City at the DHL Stadium, and are now due to fly back to the Western Cape for Stellenbosch FC.

In what is an MTN8 quarter-final at the Danie Craven Stadium on Sunday, could the 25-year-old striker Du Preez make a return to face his former club?

According to Zwane, the technical team is waiting to get a report from the medical team.

The coach known as ‘1011’ also expressed caution over rushing to welcome back Du Preez.

“When it comes to Ashley, I’m not sure whether he is going to be available,” Zwane said via Kick Off.

“We are just hoping that when we will get good news from our medical team to say he is available.

“But we are also going to be cautious, we are not just going to throw him in because we might hurt him again.“

“We will try and be cautious and build him up because, as much as we want to win the MTN 8, at the same time we don’t want to lose our key players because we were thinking about one game.

“There is a lot at stake. There are too many games to play.

We will see how we manage him and the other players who have those niggling injuries,” the former winger concluded.
