Two armed suspects are in a critical condition in hospital after they were shot by a jewellery store owner during an armed robbery in the Parklane Centre on Thursday afternoon.
The store owner is also in a critical condition after the suspects shot him four times in the stomach.
Police at the scene told The Witness that one man walked into Marcos Jewellers and pretended to be an interested customer.
At the time, the owner of the store was with her son. Shortly after walking into the store, the suspect allegedly drew a firearm and fired at the owner and her son.
It is believed that the second suspect then walked in with his firearm drawn. Eyewitnesses said the son drew his own firearm and fired shots at both the suspects.
