Former Kaizer Chiefs defender is reportedly facing an uncertain future abroad, almost eleven months after leaving Amakhosi.

Thatayaone Ditlhokwe left the Glamour Boys in February last year to join Libyan Premier League giants Al‑Ittihad, reportedly for a fee in the region of R15 million.

The Botswana national team captain spent just one and a half seasons at the Naturena-based club after joining from the now-defunct SuperSport United in July 2023.

Now, according to Foot Africa, Ditlhokwe’s future at Al‑Ittihad is now uncertain, with reports suggesting he is not in the plans of newly appointed coach Khaled Ben Yahia.

The Tunisian tactician, who previously coached MC Alger in Algeria before moving to Libya, is reportedly unimpressed with the ex-Amakhosi left-footed central defender.

It remains to be seen whether TT, as Ditlhokwe is affectionately known, will be released or if the coach will change his mind.

Meanwhile, the report has also claimed that some Betway Premiership clubs, including Marumo Gallants and Siwelele FC, are closely monitoring his situation.

Furthermore, the report has suggested that several North African clubs are also interested in his signature, indicating that if he were to be released by Al‑Ittihad, he would have no shortage of suitors.
