Former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise is heading for divorce from his wife Kokesto after three years of marriage.
The renowned midfielder known for his popular dance moves after scoring a goal at the 2010 soccer World Cup might be calling it quits on his wife after getting married in 2021.
As per reports by SNL24, this is said to be the soccer player’s second marriage as he was previously married to Felicia Mokoena from 2010-2013.
At the time of his first divorce, it was reported by SowetanLIVE that Felicia had taken him to court for failing to pay child support.
In 2012, court documents stated that Teko had to pay R31,000 monthly maintenance, as during that time he was at the peak of his soccer career after the World Cup.
According to the entertainment hub ZiMoja, after ending things with his ex-wife he later got married in 2021 and they welcomed a son, adding that despite being together for three years Teko and Kokesto have been separated for a few months as the soccer player moved out from their shared house.
Speaking on the former couple’s separation, a close source told the above-mentioned source, “They make a cute couple, but sadly, the relationship has run its course.”
“Maybe in the future, but right now I think they both need to be apart from each other,” adding, “She continues being fabulous and living it up,” said the source.
After getting married in 2021, they welcomed a son, making it his second child; he had previously welcomed a daughter with his ex-wife in 2010.
