Sekhukhune United have completed the signing of highly-rated Bafana Bafana international Denwin Farmer.
Farmer was one of the standout performers of a largely disappointing Baroka team and it came as little surprise that he would attract a number of suitors in the event that Bakgaga got the drop to the GladAfrica Championship.
The 25-year-old has stepped into the void left by the departed Goodman Mosele who joined Orlando Pirates and took over the reins as club captain for the season.
A number of teams were keen on the Gqeberha-born defender but it was Sekhukhune United who ultimately won the race for his signature.
According to Siya sources, Farmer has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, which includes an option for a further year.
Farmer was Baroka’s second most utilized player this campaign behind Evidence Makgopa, who himself secured a move to Orlando Pirates ahead of the new season.
Farmer made 28 appearances in all competitions and managed to score two goals for Baroka.
