Reports have stated that the former Township Roller coach Romain Folz has resigned from his position as the head coach of Marumo Gallants.

“Romain Folz is no longer the coach of Marumo Gallants,” confirmed the source.

“The coach resigned last night. There were many issues that the coach wasn’t happy about and he decided to resign.”

“The club wanted him to be the assistant coach and he refused that and opted to leave.

“He resigned last night after the technical team changes were suggested to him in front of the players that he would no longer be the head coach,” the source added.

Folz has been under enormous pressure due to the slow start to the season by Gallants under his guidance although the side has lost just once against Orlando Pirates in their previous match.

The team has drawn four and lost one from five matches going into this afternoon’s clash against Swallows FC.
