Brandon Truter became the latest coach to get the boot in the DStv Premiership following his axing by AmaZulu FC on Thursday.
FARPost revaled the possible candidates who can fill the void created by Truter’s departure from AmaZulu
Stuart Baxter
AmaZulu have a squad with quality players such as Gabadinho Mhango, and the team’s management might be tempted to think that they need a serial winner who has proven himself at the highest level.
In that regard, the former Bafana Bafana and Chiefs trainer comes across as someone who can take Usuthu to the next level to compete with the big boys of South African football.
Owen Da Gama
He is another experienced coach who knows the DStv Premiership well. He is not the sort of a coach who needs any sort of adaptation. This is all down to his experience gained from managing clubs such as Orlando Pirates, Platinum Stars and Highlands Park (now defunct).
Wedson Nyirenda
There are many who feel that the Zambian coach deserved a longer stay at Baroka, as he is the only coach to have won Bakgakga silverware in the top flight, the Telkom Knockout Cup in 2018. The former Chipolopolo coach is now in charge of Ferroviario Da Beira, who are doing well in the Confederation Cup.
Norman Mapeza
The Zimbabwean created a big impression with his structured play, which he instilled in Chippa United. But as has always been the case, no one survives at the trigger-happy Chilli Boys. Mapeza is now in charge of FC Platinum in Zimbabwe, who are title favourites every season. Actually, Platinum are the holders.
