Orlando Pirates fc are set to complete the signing of Stellenbosch FC striker Andre de Jong.
The 28-year-old striker joined the Western Cape side back in January 2023 from the KwaZulu-Natal based side Royal AM.

He’s featured in 103 games, scoring 16 goals, with 11 assists, featuring prominently in the 10 role in Steve Barker’s system.
His performances have not gone unnoticed and naturally attracted attention and Pirates have now made an official move, with sources confirming a deal is close to being finalised on deadline day today.
However, Stellies Chief Executive Officer Rob Benadie stated they still hopeful they will be able to retain him beyond the deadline today.
“No, that deal is not done yet, it might be done in the next few hours,” Stellies CEO Rob Benadie told iDiski Times.

“But it’s not done yet and we’re hoping that he stays with us.”
Pirates have signed 13 players in the current window in the new era under head coach Abseslsm Ouaddou – who was non commital this weekend over potential last minute transfer deals.
