A few more changes are expected to take place at Orlando Pirates as the transfer window deadline approaches.
This week, the Buccaneers continued with the changes in the squad as Siphesihle Ndlovu left to join SuperSport United, while a few more players have appeared to be facing an uncertain future with the club.
According to sources, defender Sandile Mthethwa who spent the last five seasons on loan at Richards Bay FC and Chippa United respectively, could again be sent on loan.
The 25-year-old is facing tough competition from the likes of Olisa Ndah, Nkosinathi Sibisi and Tapelo Xoki for the centre-back position in coach Jose Riveiro’s team and is yet to feature in any of the matches so far this season.
Indications are that the defender could be sent on loan again for the remainder of the campaign to improve his chances of regular game-time.
Another player facing uncertain future for the season is Terrence Dzvukamanja who has been delayed by injury.
Monnapule Saleng, who returned from a season-long loan deal with Swallows FC last season, could be sent on loan again, according to sources.
The 24-year-old is yet to feature in any match under Riveiro.
Meanwhile, Bucs are still in search of a goalkeeper to add to the squad and will be open to signing one, should a suitable candidate be found in the coming weeks.
The Soweto giants have more than two weeks until their next game – a first leg MTN8 semi-final clash against Mamelodi Sundowns on October 01 – and final squad decisions will have been made by that time.
