Orlando Pirates Football Club have parted ways with yet another senior player as they pave way for new players ahead of the new season.
According to iDiski times, Orlando Pirates have announced that the former Maritzburg united midfielder Fortune Makaringe will leave the club after spending five years at the Buccaneers.
He won three MTN8 and two Nedbank Cup trophies, while featuring 147 times for the club, scoring 10 goals with nine assists.
“Words cannot fully express our gratitude and appreciation for Makaringe. Throughout his time with us, he consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism and discipline,” the club statement read on Tuesday afternoon.
“The Club will always be grateful for his contribution and wishes him nothing but the best in his future endeavour.”
Makaringe will not be short of suitors in the off-season as he holds extensive top-flight experience with The Buccaneers and The Team of Choice over the last decade.
He follows Cameroon international striker Souaibou Marou out the club as the club looks to build on from the 2023/24 campaign.
