Newly crowned Miss Universe Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina is trending once again on social media for the wrong reasons as people find a look-alike crown on Temu.
The former Miss South Africa finalist Chidimma Adetshina was once as the winner of Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 on Saturday evening.
The newly crowned Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina’s crown also trended on X when social media user @destinyzee revealed that she’s seen it on Temu.
The Temu crown which looks similar to Adetshina’s is currently R76 which is ₦6 786 when converted to the Nigerian currency.
The 23-year-old, who represented Nigeria’s Taraba state, competed against 24 other contestants in the pageant last night and won.
Ben Murray Bruce, a former Nigerian Senator and Chairman of Silverbird group – organisers of the event, said: “No Nigerian woman anywhere on earth who wants the platform to be successful, to get a fighting chance, that woman, that Nigerian, will never be denied that opportunity.”
Adetshina will now represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November.
