Morocco have loaded an official complaint with FIFA over their semi-final defeat to France.

According to iDiski times, Royal Football Federation of Morocco (FRMF) have lodged an official complaint over the refereeing performance of Cesar Ramos.

The main reason for the complaint are two incidents where Morocco felt they didn’t receive a deserved penalty in the first half – one ending in a yellow card to Soufiane Boufal for a foul on Theo Hernandez, when many thought Morocco would get a penalty.

The other incident was when Selim Amallah tumbled inside the box after a clash with Aurelien Tchouameni in first half injury-time.

“The Royal Moroccan Football Federation strongly protested the refereeing of the national team, led by Cesar Arturo Ramos Palazuelos.”

“At the same time, the arbitration is surprised that the mouse room was not alerted to that.

“The Royal Moroccan Football Federation affirms that it will not hesitate to defend the rights of our team, calling for fairness in taking the necessary measures regarding the arbitral injustice practiced on the Moroccan national team in its match against the French national team, in the semi-final drawing of the World Cup,” said a statement on the FRMF website, as translated into English.

The Atlas Lions lost 2-0 to France following goals by Hernandez and Randal Kolo Muani on Wednesday, ending their brilliant run to the semi-finals at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
