Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper does not understand why the three coaches at the club are on one bench, suggesting that they should all be working for different teams in the DStv Premiership.
Rulani Mokwena was recently appointed head coach at Chloorkop, as the defending champions did away with the co-coaching set-up which the club had for a little over two seasons.

Manqoba Mngqithi was demoted, but remains part of the technical team, while Steve Komphela was elevated to the role of assistant to Mokwena.
Mokwena has been in charge of two official matches since taking over as head coach and won the Carling Black Label Cup.
In these four matches under the tutelage of Mokwena, Sundowns have scored 15 goals and are yet to concede.

Brian Baloyi, a former Sundowns goalkeeper, does not think that these coaches should be sitting together on one bench. In his opinion, Mngqithi should be coaching Bafana Bafana and Steve Komphela should be at a club like AmaZulu.
“The co-coaches, I had a big problem with it. When they started this thing with the three coaches. You are depriving South Africa of coaches because the three of them should be head coaches at different clubs.
“Now you have them at one club? I was saying Sundowns have an advantage, even including coaches and putting them in this arrangement. They can say whatever they want.

“Yes, it’s working, but for me these coaches should be coaching at different clubs,” Baloyi said recently during a Hollywoodbets event held in Johannesburg.
“Rulani should be coaching and get his own assistants and take that pressure alone. He must enjoy that job without worrying about the two experienced coaches next to him. They might see it differently, but it’s depriving him of enjoying coaching.

“Manqoba should be coaching the national team, instead of being at Sundowns. Komphela should be coaching AmaZulu, instead of us having these coaches coming from nowhere into the PSL.
“Yes, you’d say that them being at Sundowns opens up opportunities for other coaches to work at clubs in the PSL, but what do we do? We go get younger coaches from outside.”
