Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana midfielder could be set to seal with the DStv Premiership rivals after parting ways with Amakhosi.

After parting ways with Amakhosi recently with eight other players as part of the squad changes taking place at the Soweto giants, Lebogang Manyama has been linked with a move to Tanzania giants Simba, according to Soccer-laduma.

However, indications are that the 31-year-old has his former employers at Cape Town City making enquiries about a potential return to the club.

It was at the Citizens that Manyama was at the best form of his professional career and went on to win the PSL’s Footballer of the Season award during the 2016/17 season and those memories are still fresh in the mind of club boss John Comitis, who is keen on having the player back in the team.

With the Mother City outfit preparing to campaign to the CAF Champions League next season, the team’s head coach Eric Tinkler wants to tick all the boxes to ensure that the best possible squad is assembled to compete in all competitions.
