A Cape Town family is in deep pain after their 19-year-old son was shot and killed for no reason.
Litha Govuza was gunned down while buying an energy drink and Noodles at a tuckshop in Mfuleni on Saturday night, 21 February.

On Thursday, 19 March, residents held a picket in their area, calling on police to find the killers and arrest them.

A video of the brutal attack has gone viral on social media, leaving many shocked.
In the clip, Litha and his friend are seen at the shop when a car stops nearby.
A gunman gets out while another man records the incident and orders him to shoot.

Witnesses said the gunman looked unsure at first but was pushed to pull the trigger.
He then opened fire.
Litha’s friend was shot in the legs and beaten while on the ground, while Litha was shot in the head and upper body.
Residents said the killing was senseless.
Many believe the attackers targeted them randomly.
Litha’s uncle, Unathi Govuza said the family is devastated.
“We never had problems with Litha. He loved church and when he was killed, he had just returned from church,” he said.
He said he received a call while he was with friends and rushed back home.
“I saw Litha’s friend in the car, injured. I thought that’s why I was called but someone pointed at Litha who was lying in a pool of blood,” he said.
They rushed both victims to hospital.
“We rushed them to the hospital but on arrival the doctors told me he had died,” he said.
Apostle Siniko Nxesi from Kingdom of God Ministries said he was with Litha earlier that day.
“I left them at church since they were preparing for the Sunday service. When I was at home, while praying so we can sleep, I received a call that Litha had been shot,” he said.
He described Litha as a kind and dedicated young man.
“He was a good boy who loved church, and we are devastated by the manner in which he was killed,” he said.
Police spokesman Captain Frederick van Wyk confirmed the incident and said detectives are hunting for the suspects.
“Provincial Serious and Violent Crime detectives are seeking the assistance of the public to trace the person depicted in the photos, who is a person of interest in a murder and an attempted murder case committed in Mfuleni,” he said.
He said the victims were shot while waiting for food at a shop.
“Three unidentified males got out of the said vehicle, and randomly shot at them,” he said.
He added that one victim was shot in the legs and assaulted, while the other was fatally wounded.
