He is the founder of RapLyf Records, an independent media company, and known for his successful albums like “DaKAR” and “DaKAR II”.

He has received multiple awards, including South African Music Awards and Hip Hop Awards, cementing his position as a prominent figure in South African hip-hop.

Early Life and Career

Kwesta began rapping as a teenager, forming a rap group called Ghetto Fellaz (later The Juvenylz) in 2003.

He dropped out of high school to pursue a full-time music career.

He gained recognition with his second album, “DaKAR,” which peaked at number 3 on the iTunes South African Hip-hop/Rap chart.

Kwesta has released several successful studio albums, including “Special ReKwest,” “DaKAR,” “DaKAR II,” and “g.o.d Guluva”.

Kwesta is married to Yolanda Mvelase, with whom he has two children: Khai and Kenya.
