KAIZER CHIEFS LOSE 3-0 TO TS GALAXY
With a little over two weeks left before the start of the Betway Premiership, Amakhosi took on Sead Ramovic’s Rockets at the FNB Stadium.
The result was a 3-0 win over the Soweto giants, thanks to goals from Sphiwe Mahlangu, Puso Dithejane, and Thokozani Sibanyoni.
CHIEFS BACKED TO SUCCEED THIS SEASON
Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Solomon Mathe has backed Kaizer Chiefs to have a successful 2024/25 season under new coach Nasreddine Nabi.
Amakhosi hired the Tunisian mentor as Molefi Ntseki’s successor. This comes after the departure of interim coach Cavin Johnson.
The Glamour Boys have also reinforced their squad as they seek to compete with the likes of Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mathe believes they have what it takes to go as far as qualifying for the Caf-Inter-club competitions next season.
“We hope to see a competitive Kaizer Chiefs because the league with a strong Chiefs is interesting. When it comes to the signings, I believe they acquired good and experienced players and we will see in the opening few games how ready they are to compete,” Mathe told GOAL.
”But you can have all good players in your team but if they are not united and fight for each other, there is no way you will do well.
“You have Orlando Pirates, Cape Town City, SuperSport United, Sekhukhune United, and even Chiefs, I think they will surprise a lot of people.
“Unity makes the team win, look at Pirates and Sundowns they fight for each other even the players who are on the stand support those who are playing.”
