Kaizer Chiefs could be set to sign Baroka star

If Kaizer Chiefs want to sign one of their transfer targets, they would have to compete with Maritzburg United, Royal AM, and AmaZulu.

Regarding Baroka getting relegated, the Glamour Boys have been shown to be willing to sign 26-year-old defender Bonginkosi Makume.



Makume was a standout performer for Baroka FC. But besides being demoted, the defender has shown flashes of brilliance and has a handful of admirers queued.

According to reports, Maritzburg United is setting the pace ahead of Kaizer Chiefs, AmaZulu, and Royal AM!

Makume appeared in 20 games for Baroka this season. Despite being a central defender, he scored three goals and assisted on one.



In preparation for next season, the Glamour Boys have even completed one defensive acquisition.

Zitha Kwinika, an ex Kaizer Chiefs academy player, has already made the switch. Last week, Stellenbosch current boss Steve Barker made the announcement.

Kwinika is supposed to join the Amakhosi shortly. He was declared Stellies’ top star of the season for the 2021/22 campaign.
