South African actor Innocent Masuku is excited to be given a second chance to showcase his talent.

Innocent Masuku will host Moja Love’s TV show Buyel’ Ekhaya.

The actor is well-known for his famous role on the legendary drama series, Yizo Yizo, where he played a drug-addicted pupil.

Over the years, Innocent has spoken out about substance abuse and going to rehab.

He told Daily Sun Moja Love is making a difference by reuniting families. He’s equally happy to be making a difference.

Innocent said, with God anything is possible.

“I wasn’t expecting this opportunity. I had lost hope and thought the industry had written me off. However, Moja Love has shown me that none of that was true. I’m living a dream. I thought it would never come true,” he said.

Innocent said the channel approached him to shoot a pilot. They loved it, and he was called for a season shoot.

He believes prayer from opened doors for this opportunity.

“My family has been supportive and never gave up on me.

“The show has authentic stories that resonate with a lot of people. My promise to viewers is to keep them entertained while educating and informing them about life challenges and overcome them.

“Acting will always be a passion of mine, but presenting has opened my eyes to a world of opportunities.”

He said his worst moment was when his life was consumed by drugs from 2000, which cost him his R2 million house, cars, and good friends.

“My best moments are when God shows how much He has my back and has given me another chance,” he said.

Innocent, who played Bobo in Yizo Yizo and Baksteen in Tshisa, said he loves his career choice.

This is Innocent’s first presenting gig.

Buyel’ Ekhaya premieres in January 2025
