People of Lenasia in Joburg are still in shock after a horrific crash on Klipspruit Valley Road, commonly known as the K43, claimed the lives of three people on Tuesday, 27 May.
The fatal accident happened along a notoriously busy stretch between Lenmed Ahmed Kathrada Hospital and Capella Street, an area packed with traffic, especially during rush hours.

The impact of the crash was both physically and emotionally devastating, with emergency services battling to save lives and handle the chaotic aftermath.
According to the Joburg Metro Police Department (JMPD), the crash involved three vehicles. The smash caused massive damage and brought traffic to a complete stop.
JMPD spokesman Superintendent Xolani Fihla confirmed the tragic loss of life at the scene.
“Three fatalities have been confirmed. Two at the scene and one upon arrival at the hospital,” he said.
Emergency responders, including paramedics, Metro cops, and fire crews, arrived on the scene within minutes.
One of the dead victims had to be cut out from a badly damaged vehicle using rescue tools.
Other injured people were checked and rushed to nearby hospitals by various ambulance services.
The third victim, who at first survived the crash, was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
Despite medical help, the victim sadly died and was declared dead shortly after arrival.
Fihla said that the K43 was temporarily closed in both directions to allow emergency teams to safely attend to the scene and clear the wreckage.
The closure caused heavy traffic jams throughout the area.
