Happy Jele is a South African association football player who plays as a defender and captained the Orlando Pirates FC in the South African Premier Division.
Mostly regarded as a club legend for the Soweto based giants, Jele holds the record for having the most appearances for Orlando Pirates.
Early life
Happy Jele was born on the 1st of January 1987. He grew up with a passion of being a footballer and was lucky enough to sign with Orlando Pirates at a young age.
He was just few years away from representing the Buccaneers for 20 years when he was released.
Football Career
The 37-year-old is currently a free agent and is searching for a new club as he feels he still has a lot to deliver in the field.
In fact, the defender has been a free agent for more than a year now after being released by Royal AM Football Club in June last year.
Happy Jele spent 16 years at Orlando Pirates before leaving as a free-agent back in July 2022.
The club offered him a position in the team, however, Jele felt he still has a lot to offer in the field and opted against signing a new contract.
He left and was a free agent for six months before signing with the KwaZulu-Natal based side, Royal AM, in January the following year.
The former Orlando Pirates defender only spent six months at the Thwihli Thwahla side and was released by mutual agreement.
Ever since he left Royal AM Football Club, Happy Jele has been seeking for a new club.
He joins the likes of Siphiwe Tshabalala who are unlucky in terms of finding new clubs in the Premier Soccer League.

Happy Jele is a happily married man who has children. He does not hesitate to share the pictures of his wife and children on social media.
