Kaizer Chiefs star Siyabonga Ngezana has left many confused after he said an emotional goodbye to his teddy bear.
They say goodbyes are always difficult, however, the Amakhosi defender’s bizarre farewell to an actual teddy bear seemed strange to say the least.
Over the weekend, a seemingly tearful Ngezana posted a video and a few pictures of the fluffy toy where he is seen showering the stuffed animal with kisses.
The post was captioned with a short message saying that he will miss his little friend, but it’s not clear whether he is just trolling or not.
Perhaps even more unusual, the bear was wearing a pink COVID face mask and bucket hat.
In one frame it can also be seen wearing a Chiefs jersey while it is seated on the passenger seat of the players’ car, suggesting that he could be really parting ways with the bear although we don’t know why.
His teammates at Naturena, Bruce Bvuma and Happy Mashiane couldn’t contain themselves as they both commented on the centre-back’s post asking what is going on.
The Sebokeng-born star has had a rather underwhelming 2021/22 campaign having made just 16 appearances across all competitions as he served as a rotational squad player under Stuart Baxter’s disappointing stint at the helm, per Transfermarkt.
