Kedibone family is still mourning after the death of their beautiful daughter who was murdered in Hammanskraal.
According to Daily Sun, the 19-year-old Gontse was found murdered under Majaneng bridge in Hammanskraal, Tshwane.
Kedibone (31) from Maubane in the North West said they heard about the shocking incident on Wednesday, 16 October.
The family said they want justice for Gontse.
Kedibone said:
“Why did that person kill Gontse? What did she do to the killer (s)? Why didn’t that person leave my sister alone? I want to know when the person attacked her, did she scream and what did she say to that person?”
She said Gontse left home with a friend at about 6pm on Sunday, 13 October to go to an entertainment club in Hammanskraal, but never came back home.
Kedibone said Gontse, who was a student at Nan Hua Performing Arts in Bronkhorstspruit, would leave and come back home, but she’d always communicate with her via WhatsApp.
“Gontse’s last seen WhatsApp was on Monday, 14 October around 7.30am. I sent her a WhatsApp on Monday asking: ‘Are you fine? Where are you?’ But she didn’t respond. It only indicated one tick,” Kedibone said.
She said she started getting worried on Tuesday, 15 October as Gontse communicated with her every day, but that wasn’t the case.
“I told my mother that I feel like Gontse is no longer in this world. My heart was beating hard. I helped raise Gontse and were connected to each other. It was hard to accept the news of Gontse’s death.
“My little sister was stabbed in the neck and there was internal bleeding. She was also strangled and was found naked. We are not coping. My sister was a loving person. She used to allow her friends to sleep over every time they back home at night,” she said.
Kedibone pleaded for help with groceries and candles.
Gontse’s mother, Sinah (57) said: “I’m hurt and in great pain. I just lost my daughter. We want justice for her. Whoever did this must rot in jail.”
Gontse’s aunt, Johanna Morometsi (69) said: “I’m heartbroken. I was expecting a lot from her. I last spoke to Gontse and her sister on Sunday, 13 October on a video call. She told me she wanted to visit me in Benoni in December.”
There will be candlelight memorial on Thursday, 24 October at the spot where Gontse was found murdered, while a memorial service will be held on Friday, 25 October and she will be buried on Saturday, 26 October at Maubane Cemetery.
Johanna asked that those who attend wear black T-shirts and blue trousers in memory of Gontse.
Gauteng police spokeswoman, Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said: “As per the case number you provided, that is a murder case, and no suspects have been arrested.”
