Given Msimango has officially said his goodbye to Kaizer Chiefs as he closes in on a move to Stellenbosch FC.

The 29-year-old joined Amakhosi from TS Galaxy in July 2023, arriving with high expectations.

During his spell at Naturena, he showcased his leadership qualities and established himself as a dependable figure in the squad, more especial in the 2025/26 campaign.

Although it initially appeared Msimango’s future lay with Chiefs, the situation changed when the Glamour Boys intensified their pursuit of winger Langelihle Phili, whose signing was confirmed on Monday.

Msimango has ultimately been sacrificed as part of the deal that saw Phili head to Soweto, while the centre-back moves in the opposite direction to Stellenbosch.

The agreement also includes striker Ashley Du Preez, who has already completed his move to the Cape Winelands outfit.

Given Msimango

Msimango has now confirmed his departure from Chiefs through a heartfelt social media message, with an official announcement from Stellies expected soon.

“Thank you Kaizer Chiefs for giving me memories that will last a lifetime,” Msimango wrote.

“It was an honor to wear this badge and be part of this great club.

“I leave with gratitude in my heart and wish the club nothing but success.”
