South African well-known Maskandi artist Ndlovu has managed to build a 62-year-old woman her dream house.
According to Daily Sun, Linah Nhlengethwa (62) has been praying for a decent house as she has stayed in a mud house for a long time.
The hitmaker just answered her prayers by building a two-room plus one-room house for her and fencing it in his home village, Pongola, northern KZN.
The house was handed over to the Nhlengethwa family on Friday, 18 October.
On Thursday, Gatsheni (34) hosted a braai for the Nhlengethwa family as they said goodbye to a mud house that leaked water when it rained.
Gatsheni, who recently made history by outshining Grammy Award-winner Tyler at the Cultural and Creative Awards and won a Toyota Quantum against 29 maskandi stars during the Mother of All Maskandi Festival, identified this needy family in September.
Gatsheni also asked the public to help him build the two rooms for the needy family and finish off the one room that the family had already started.
He told Daily Sun he’s happy to have managed to help the lives of the family and kept his promise.
“It makes me happy to change people’s lives and it makes me happy to see other people happy, especially this family who faced the situation of staying in a bad condition house because my home was also like that.
“I would like to thank all the people who helped me to answer this family’s prayers because now they will not worry about rain getting in their house because of the leaking house,” he said.
Gogo Linah, who was staying with her nine family members in a dilapidated house, told Daily Sun that she has been praying and asking God to use Gatsheni to answer her prayers.
“It has been a long time praying to get a decent house as the house we were using used to leak when it was raining. When it was raining, I used to cover my blankets with plastics to prevent them from getting wet. I was rescued by people who are not related to me, but they were used by God.
“We were always getting worried when we saw that the weather was changing because we knew that the house would leak, and litres of rain used to make our house wet. I thank God, Gatsheni, and all of those who contributed,” she said.
