The MTN8 quarter-final fixtures have been confirmed after the final DStv Premiership game of the season between Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United was played on Monday evening.
Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns will take on SuperSport United after the latter side jumped into the top 8 following their 2-0 win against Orlando Pirates.
The victory continued SuperSport’s run of being the only side since 1999/00 to finished inside the top 8 in every single season.
Pirates, meanwhile, finished the 2021/22 campaign only in sixth place and will face Royal AM in the MTN8 quarter-finals.
The other two clashes will be played between Cape Town City and AmaZulu, while Stellenbosch FC will take on Kaizer Chiefs.

Stellenbosch FC vs Kaizer Chiefs
Sundowns are the defending champions, while Kaizer Chiefs have won the tournament more than any other side in it’s different formats, namely the BP Top Eight Cup (1972-2002), SAA Super Eight Cup (2003-2007) and MTN8 (since 2008), lifting the trophy 15 times.
