Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Sbusiso Mabiliso will soon decide on his future, with three more teams joining AmaZulu in the race for his signature.

Mabiliso left Usuthu at the end of last season to join Amakhosi, which didn’t sit well with the former coach Benni McCarthy.

The newly appointed Manchester United assistant coach felt the former youth international needed more time in Durban before moving to Gauteng.

During that time, the left-back was already tipped to be regular in the national team as he was playing well for AmaZulu.

However, upon moving to Chiefs, he struggled to get regular game time until his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

During his time in the south of Joburg, he struggled to get game time which saw him making only six appearances, most of which were from the bench.

Following his release, there was talk about moving back to Durban, and on Saturday evening, Usuthu coach Brandon Truter confirmed the club’s interest.

FARPost has since gathered that the 23-year-old is keen on making a return to the club. According to sources, his return is 50/50 at this stage, with the club’s boss Sandile Zungu currently away from home.

The decision might be delayed while SuperSport United, TS Galaxy and Cape Town City are among the clubs considering him.

At some point, there was talk of a possible swap deal between City and Chiefs involving Bafana Bafana left-back Terrence.

The proposal was such that Chiefs would then top up with money. However, the proposal never materialised, with City eventually signing Marc van Heerden.

Matsatsantsa have over-relied on Onisimor Bhasera in the left-back position and reportedly wants to beef up.

Gavin Hunt recently said the team was in need of experienced players and the former Platinum Stars defender could offer a bit of that.
