Dlubheke Khuzwayo, a popular maskandi musician from Nquthu, KZN, awaits his bail decision after spending the holidays in jail.
This after spending Christmas and New Year behind bars.

The Nquthu Magistrates Court is expected to decide on his bail application on Thursday, 8 January.
The 31-year-old musician from Nquthu, KZN, whose real name is Bukelani Nxumalo, was arrested in October on two counts of murder and two attempted murders.
He has appeared in court several times seeking bail but has remained in custody.
While fighting for bail, he was charged with two more murders, linked to killings in Gauteng in 2022 and 2024.
According to the cops, he was initially arrested for a double murder and double attempted murder that took place in KZN in 2023.
On 12 November 2023, four men were travelling in a white vehicle from Ntinini in Babanango, KZN, towards their homes.
As they passed Mpukunyoni, they were allegedly stopped by the suspect, who was known to them.
When the vehicle was about to stop, the musician allegedly started shooting at them, causing the driver to lose control and veer off the road.
Two victims managed to escape, while the other two died from their injuries.
Dlubheke’s arrest shocked many fans, who had been asking him to release new music after a long break.
At the end of November, he surprised music lovers by releasing a six-track EP titled Sbali.
His brother, Falabo Khuzwayo, said Dlubheke was arrested after finishing the EP recordings but before doing a photoshoot for the cover, they had to use an old picture for the artwork.

Dlubheke is a respected and well-known musician, with more than 10 albums released since 2009.
He worked with maskandi king, the late Mgqumeni Khumalo, on his debut album Siqhathwe eNquthu, released in 2009.
