According to Gistlover, a blogger on Instagram revealed that Davido moved their wedding date after Chioma told him there was nothing binding them following the death of their son Ifeanyi, who died in October.

The pair previously announced that they will be getting married in 2023 but the singer married her sooner to console her and assure her that her place is secured in the Adeleke family.

The publication adds that the traditional wedding was held on 6 November and their registry is coming up sometime next week, though; the couples are still mourning the loss of their son

The traditional wedding was reportedly attended at his father’s house and was attended by a few friends and family friends with no camera allowed.

According to the blog, Chioma’s bride price has been paid in full.

According to Apnews, the 3-year-old son of the Nigerian music star Davido died at his home in an apparent drowning.

The singer, whose real name is David Adeleke, was not at the home at the time of Ifeanyi’s death. The child’s mother, Chioma Rowland, was also away, according to Lagos police spokesman Ben Hundeyin.

“The boy is truly dead. Ifeanyi is really dead. May God grant Davido and his family the fortitude to bear this loss. Waited up to hear good news, but it just didn’t come. Only a bad one came. God knows best. Davido doesn’t deserve this. 💔 Davido doesn’t deserve this 💔,” says @VeryWickedNigga.

“Ifeanyi Adeleke is gone.. nobody celebrates, but how foolish could rich man for allowing their kids to be in the pool thinking it is life enjoyment why not take him to the red sea and teach 3yrs old kid how to swim.. madness, ” says @Joe_ebili.
