Njabulo Ngcobo is another player who apparently faces an uncertain future at Kaizer Chiefs despite the fact he has a contract until 2024.
The 2022-23 season is far from finished, but it’s standard practice that detailed squad planning will already be well underway as club bosses start to consider who should come, and who should go.

Njabulo Ngcobo is one of the players at Chiefs who has not quite had the desired impact since heading to Chiefs last year, and in the latest issue of Soccer Laduma it’s reported that Amakhosi could consider cutting ties with the 28-year-old.
The defender has not made a league appearance so far this year, and with game-time looking increasingly limited going forward, it remains to be seen whether Chiefs could opt to cash in with one more year still left on his contract.
As reported at the start of this week, there has also been talk that Kaizer Chiefs could be considering bidding farewell to midfielder Cole Alexander after this season.
According to the Phakaaathi publication, word on the ground suggests that out-of-favour attacker Kamohelo Mahlatsi could be heading for the exit door as well.

Mahlatsi has only played a handful of games since joining Chiefs last year, and it appears that his time at Naturena could be cut short.
“What good does it do for a player to be happy about being part of a big team but not playing? Everyone wants to play and Zwane has not given Kamohelo a fair chance. The best option is for us to pack and go,” said a source within Mahlatsi’s camp, according to The Citizen.
