Carla Engelbrecht was sadly found dead in a freezer at her own home in Upington, in the Northern Cape, South Africa on Tuesday, March 31.
“The deceased was reported missing by her husband at approximately 10am, after a search was launched for her,” the South African Police Service (SAPS) said.

The report came in early in the day, sparking a coordinated search of the residence and surrounding areas.
“Her body was discovered inside a deep freezer located in a storeroom at their residence on the same day,” the SAPS added.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death, as police work to piece together the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“All information and reports will form part of the ongoing investigation that is currently underway.”
