Cape Town City have confirmed the appointment of former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates head coach Muhsin Ertugral.
The news comes after the departure of Tinkler on New Year’s Eve, in what is believed to be due to a string of unsatisfactory results.

The club has confirmed that Ertugral will come in as Technical Director, and will act in the capacity of head coach until the end the season.
The statement by club read, in part, “Cape Town City is delighted to announce the appointment of Muhsin Ertugral as Technical Director of the club.”
“Muhsin will step in as head coach until the end of the current season, joining first team coaches Diogo Peral and Lebogang Manyama.”

The Citizens are in 12th position on the Premiership log, with 11 points from 10 games.
Ertugral will hit the ground running as the team prepares for two massive clashes against Kaizer Chiefs this weekend and Orlando Pirates next week.
