Orlando Pirates’ Evidence Makgopa looks close to his debut for the club, if the latest details emerging from the team are anything to go by.

As confirmed by the club’s head coach after the previous match last weekend against Richards Bay FC, the striker has been training with the rest of his teammates, having finally recovered from the injury that delayed him since arriving from Baroka FC at the end of last season.

In previewing the team’s next match, which will be against AmaZulu on Friday in Orlando, the Buccaneers have showed Makgopa in training, among the images of players posted on the club’s official Twitter account.

Having been training for the past few weeks, the Bafana Bafana forward is believed to have worked hard to catch up with the rest of the group in fitness and to raise his hand for inclusion in matchday squads.

Depending on Bucs coach Jose Riveiro’s decision, indications are that the 22-year-old could be included in the matchday squad for the Usuthu clash as the Soweto giants aim to bounce back after disappointing results in their last two matches in the league.
