The Spanish La liga club Real Espanyol de Barcelona has officially opened an academy in South Africa as they look to expand their brand around the world.
A great opportunity awaits for the South African youngsters and also coaches who are hoping to make it in the soccer department as the Spanish side has opened a branch in Mzansi.
It is a rare opportunity to see a big club opening a development in the African countries. However, South Africa has been one of those blessed countries.
According to the statement that was released by the Spanish side, they opened the academy in Johannesburg on the 1st of May 2022.
They further stated that they are hoping to develop a number of players and coaches around the country.
In the post that they released on the 15th of April, they stated that they will be developing players aged between 8 and 19.
