Kaizer Chiefs in-form midfielder Njabulo Blom holds the title of the DStv Premiership’s most valuable youngster.

Having broken into the Chiefs first team in 2019, Blom has not only shown his versatility in occupying both the right back and defensive midfield position, but he has also dished out some age-defying performances.

This season more than ever, the 22-year-old has shown his value to Chiefs’ cause and fears that he could be leaving the club as a free agent in June next year is justified.

Using the German website, Transfermarkt.com, Soccer Laduma took a look through the players in the South African topflight to see which players under the age of 23 have the greatest total market value.

According to Transfermarkt, Blom boasts a market value of €625k (±R11.01m), the highest of all u23 players in the country.

Another player whose future is a topic of interesting discussion is Luke Fleurs. Still only 22, the defender has been linked with a move to Chiefs amongst other teams.

Transfermarkt, shows that Fleurs has a market value of €425k (±R7.5), behind the Orlando Pirates duo of Kwame Peprah €475k (±R8.4m), and Evidence Makgopa €450k (±R7.9m).
