Word reaching the Siya crew is that Kaizer Chiefs are not done with their transfer business, as a couple of deals could go over the line before Thursday’s midnight deadline.

Chiefs’ latest signing Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana has boosted much needed confidence in the club after his brace against SuperSport United in his first start.

Amakhosi are looking to add another striker to their roster to compliment the Burundian before the transfer window slams shut.

In so far as outgoings are concerned, the Siya crew has also gathered information that the Glamour Boys are racing against time to complete a loan deal for Sabelo Radebe before the business end of this window.

Radebe has joined Thabani Dube in the players who could be loaned out at Chiefs, as this publication reported recently that Richards Bay were keen on resigning their former player but Dube rejected the proposed move.

The Amakhosi academy graduate has already featured twice for the Soweto giants off the bench and what may be the reason behind his proposed loan move?

Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane prefers playing with a front three, with width provided by wing-backs and with the other advanced positions occupied by central midfielders.

Given that Radebe is a winger, he has found himself competing with the likes of new signing Ashley Du Preez, Keagan Dolly, Kgaogelo Sekgota and even Khama Billiat, who are all vying for a spot in the starting line-up.

As a result, the 22-year old could find it hard to break into the team, with Dolly even not making the line-up in some recent matches.

Radebe has seemingly being earmarked as an impact player, with his two appearances coming off the bench against Mamelodi Sundowns and Marumo Gallants.

However, in so far as impact players are concerned, he is also behind the pecking order, with George Matlou, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and lately Kamohelo Mahlatsi preferred.

Swallows, who recently parted ways with head coach Dylan Kerr, could be one of the clubs looking to benefit from Radebe’s potential as a youngster, after two other Chiefs academy graduates joined the Birds on loan at the beginning of the season.

After spending the 2021/22 season at Motsepe Foundation Championship (previously GladAfrica Championship), Lebohang Lesako and Darrel Matsheke joined neighbours Swallows before the start of the current campaign.
